Day 3

Today I woke up at 7:00 AM, because the oldest son of Veronique had to go to school, and I was allowed to join the "Gottesdienst" which belonged to the introduction day of the middle school where he was going to. It was quite interesting to see the difference between the introduction day of their school and of Maaslandcollege.
In the afternoon Veronique and I left to Jonschwil, where the first family we were going to visit lives.
Veronique visits refugees from Syria to check how they are doing. She asks them questions, which are ranked in certain categories (e.g. health, social, living etc.). Every 6 months she visits the family, repeating the process for 2 years, starting from the day they arrive. She talks in High German to them, because Swiss is yet too difficult for them to understand.
While she was questioning the refugees, I was taking notes, which was also a very good training for my German, and listened to what the refugees had to say.
The family who we visited had a very nice home, although they seemed to have a fly infestation, which was quite a downside.
And so, my first day of work was over.
