23 Augustus 2016 | Zwitserland, Oberriet
During the afternoon Veronique and I went to the second family in Oberriet. The parents had asked an interpreter to help them, as only the children could speak proper German. The parents were mostly speaking Syrian (which the family from yesterday did way less). After a few hours of talking, we took a little break, during which I spoke a bit in English to the interpreter. He told me he had once been an English teacher at an university, which made me question the level of that university...
The complete monitoring took 5,5 hours, which was 5,5 hours of listening, concentrating and taking notes.
When we finally managed to leave (Syrian families often invite you to join dinner, and keep pushing and shoving food in your face until you give in or are strong enough to keep saying 'no thank you' and leave after 5 minutes of repeating) we took the touristic route so I could take some pictures of the wonderful landscape.
